Kenya Holds Hearings on British Army Abuses

British Army Training Unit in Kenya (BATUK) accused of mistreatment, torture, unlawful detention, and killings. Three days of hearings to be held by the Kenyan government until Thursday to “investigate the allegations of human rights violations’ by the BATUK. After years of grievances, the Committee on Defense, Intelligence, and Foreign Relations was fina fina after years of complaints. The BATUK has a US$85-million base in Nanyuki, Kenya, just 20 minutes from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
