Since 1987, every year, on the 26th June, all member states of the United Nations marks the International Day against illicit drug use and trafficking.
Every year, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is the promoter of the international campaign to raise awarness of the major challenge that illicit drugs represent to society as a whole.
UNODC theme for this year campaign is “Live your life without drugs”. Doctors, psychologists and social workers from Anti Drugs National Agency pointed to the risks posed to people who use drugs: serious infections (HIV, HCV, HBV, TB etc.), social relationships degradation, loss of employment, crime etc.
